Five-Week Workshop
If you're interested in honing your craft and supporting others on their writing journey this fall, join Writing in Community! In this multi-genre workshop, you’ll improve your writing skills by giving and receiving specific, respectful feedback. You’ll also get accountability, encouragement, and practical support to help you maintain your writing life.
Facilitated by Whitney Bryant and poet and translator Adria Bernardi, Writing in Community will meet for five weeks at Whitney’s home in the Donelson area of Nashville on Sunday afternoons from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The meeting dates are:
- February 1
- February 15
- March 1
- March 22
- April 12
Writers of all experience levels are welcome! Adria and Whitney will provide extensive written feedback for all students, as well as guidelines and modeling so that prose writers feel comfortable commenting on poetry, and vice versa. Each meeting will also include generative writing and a discussion of a specific aspect of craft.
Prose writers may submit up to fifteen pages of their work at a time.
Poets may submit up to three poems at a time, with a ten-page limit.
Financial assistance is available. Please email Whitney at whitneybryantwriter@gmail.com for more info.
